Overall an entertaining episode, and nice seeing more of what (supposedly) happened ‘that night’, but revealed far less than I think we’d all hoped for. Also marred by the lame and really blatant attempts at whitewashing Ezra’s character. Every pathetic excuse they could think of, and then he comes to the rescue at the end. Nope.
Lots of foreshadowing from 4x19, and lots of clues about how it’s someone Mrs D wants to protect, and Melissa knows something. No clues about why all this is happening though. Remember when Alison said that telling the truth to the wrong person at the wrong time got her where she is. Suddenly now she decides to tell them everything, she has no idea who is after her.
I’m going to say, though, I think Alison was doing a lot of bullshitting here. This is partly a game of “clue of continuity error”, but too much of what she said is implausible or contradicts other things we know. If it wasn’t for the Mrs Grunwald thing, I’d be tempted to say Ali was never buried in the first place. And that she is A.
My thoughts, and a bunch of problems with Alison’s story, below the break:
